Chris Sutton has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Celtic’s defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening.

Celtic suffered a 2-1 defeat to Bayern at Celtic Park in Champions League Group B.

The performance of Brendan Rodgers’s side was hugely encouraging, and the fact is that the Glasgow giants could have picked up a point from the encounter.

Former Celtic striker Sutton was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the performance of the Hoops, as has Frank McAvennie, who had two different spells at the Hoops.

The defeat to Bayern coupled with Paris Saint-Germain's win against Anderlecht means that Celtic will not progress to the knockout stages of the Champions League this season.

The Glasgow giants, though, can still finish third and drop to the Europa League. The way Celtic played against Bayern underlines the quality in the team, and Celtic Park faithful should be proud of the players.
