Tottenham Hotspur capped off a stunning eight days with a thumping 4-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs beat Bournemouth 1-0 at Wembley Stadium last weekend before picking up a superb 1-1 draw at Real Madrid in the Champions League, and they followed those results up with a thrashing of Liverpool.

Harry Kane's early goal have Spurs the lead as he latched onto Kieran Trippier's ball over the top to round Simon Mignolet and score, before Kane set up Son Heung-min with an exquisite pass, and the South Korean star finished in style.

Mohamed Salah pulled one back for Liverpool, but after Dele Alli restored Tottenham's two-goal lead before the break, Kane added his second and Tottenham's fourth to seal a superb victory.

It's been a stunning set of games for Mauricio Pochettino's side, and with Manchester United again dropping points, Spurs have moved level on points with the Red Devils in the Premier League.

Winning a game against a top Premier League rival in such convincing fashion will be another huge boost for Pochettino, and his players took to Twitter after Sunday's final whistle in order to react.
