Tottenham Hotspur continued their fine form on Sunday afternoon, as they hammered Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley Stadium.

Having beaten Bournemouth 1-0 in the Premier League last weekend before picking up a valiant 1-1 draw at Real Madrid in the Champions League in midweek, Spurs fans were buoyant as Liverpool arrived at Wembley on Sunday.

Mauricio Pochettino's men produced a swashbuckling display, racing into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, with Liverpool completely unable to cope with the movement of Kane and Son in the final third.

Mohamed Salah grabbed a goal back for Liverpool, but Dele Alli restored Tottenham's two-goal lead, before Kane added his second and Tottenham's fourth in the second half.

With another win at Wembley, Spurs may feel that they are finally settling in at Wembley, and they will also be pleased with the ground they have made up on Manchester United.

As United dropped points for the second weekend in a row, Spurs have now moved level on points with the Red Devils, and whilst they still trail league leaders Manchester City, Spurs will have their sights set on chasing down Guardiola's men.

After the final whistle, Spurs hero Ossie Ardiles took to Twitter to celebrate an incredible day and a superb performance, suggesting that the display was even better than against Real Madrid, whilst hailing manager Pochettino.

Spurs saw Diego Maradona make a guest appearance at Wembley alongside Ardiles, and the Tottenham legend revealed that Maradona was 'very impressed' with Tottenham's performance, which will certainly be a huge moment for Argentinian boss Pochettino after such a strong win.
