Liverpool visit Mauricio Pochettino's side on Sunday at Wembley.
Liverpool fans on Twitter have called on manager Jurgen Klopp to drop captain Jordan Henderson for Sunday's trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
The German manager rested his skipper in the Reds' 7-0 demolition of Maribor in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
James Milner was played in that midfield role ahead of him and the former Manchester City man reminded Liverpool fans of his undoubted class.
But it was against the Slovenian minnows so it remains to be seen how much of his performance was a reflection on him and how much was a reflection on the opposition.
Henderson has come in for criticism from supporters of the Anfield club at times this season, especially a little earlier in the campaign.
And some Liverpool fans say on Twitter that they would prefer to see Milner start ahead of him again in Sunday's trip to Wembley.
Milner superb other night. Was everywhere. Got in to loads of attacking positions. Think he deserves his chance.— Johnny Gav (@Johnnygav11) October 19, 2017
If Klopp has any sense Henderson will be on the sidelines for a while now. Can in DM and Milner on the right worked a treat. #LFC— Scott McAuley (@toshenhoff) October 18, 2017
