Brendan Rodgers selected Olivier Ntcham to start for Celtic against Bayern Munich last night.
Celtic fans have criticised Olivier Ntcham’s performance against Bayern Munich in the Champions League last night.
Ntcham was selected to start for Celtic in Germany, but he was unable to stop them falling to defeat.
Bayern asserted their superiority over the Bhoys and ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in the contest.
Thomas Muller scored early on for Bayern, and from that moment on the German champions never looked like losing.
Joshua Kimmich and Mats Hummels also got on the scoresheet and, in truth, Celtic rarely threatened.
Many of the Bhoys players were criticised after the contest, but few received the same level of vitriol as Ntcham on social media.
Ntcham is a coward. Roberts was poor. Armstrong is inferior to calmac. Otherwise, an ok night. Some nice fitba. Goal should have stood.— tpk (@TPKearns) October 19, 2017
Don't see what Ntcham offers and none of the others have played enough so I have to agree. We've not played well often this season— Paul (@pauln1984) October 18, 2017

Playing Gamboa was a gamble that didn’t pay off and I wonder if Ntcham is a better option than McGregor? https://t.co/VaWa3Tq4vv— Alistair Burnett (@afburnett) October 18, 2017

Ntcham and brown better at hiding than Ray Mears
Roberts dribbles more than a one year old
We won the treble with Brown-Armstrong-Rogic. Not with Ntcham inside. He still needs to adapt to our style. Rogic deserves to start.— Chalco García (@IAC_Garcia) October 18, 2017
Ntcham's a no for me.. Brown beside either Armstrong/McGregor plus Rogic in the hole is a much better midfield— Jonny Macleod (@jonnymacleod1) October 18, 2017
No idea how Ntcham or Gamboa lasted 90 mins of that game, Gamboa got a roasting and Ntcham can't pass a ball or make a telling tackle ?— Yogi The Tim (@JesuisTamBoyd) October 18, 2017
Brendan Rodgers clearly has great faith in Ntcham, but Celtic fans seem to have their doubts about the new signing.
Celtic are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Hibernian in the Scottish League Cup final.
