Is the 33-year-old West Ham United's most improved player?
There hasn't been a lot of positives for West Ham United this season.
This season promised more before it began following a very decent summer on the transfer front, but positives have been few and far between.
However, one of the big positives has come in the form of veteran centre-back Jose Fonte.
The 33-year-old defender continues to enjoy a remarkable resurgence following a testing start to the campaign which reaffirmed the theory that West Ham had wasted £8 million in bringing him in.
He struggled in the 3-2 defeat at Southampton back in August as fans eviscerated him, but Fonte might well be one of Bilic's most important players now and his performance in the 1-1 draw at Burnley is evidence of that.
It's been a rotten season for the Hammers, but it could and would get a whole lot worse if the former Southampton man finds himself on the sidelines with injury.
The Portugal international turns 34 in December and is not a long-term option for the Irons, but for now Bilic is certainly getting bang for his buck.
