Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday are being tipped for Championship success.

SkySports' latest analytical predictor is tipping Leeds United to win the Championship this season, with Sheffield Wednesday finishing in second place.

The two teams are expected to clinch the automatic promotion spots, with Wolves, Preston, Middlesbrough and Hull City making up the play-off spots.

SkySports' website explains how their predictor works: "The Sky Sports predictor is based on a system called Elo, originally set up to rate chess players. It takes into account form, who your team still has left to play, and how well a team has done in previous seasons."

There is a more grim forecast for Steve Bruce's in form Aston Villa, who currently sit seventh in the table.

The Villans are being tipped to finish in 17th place, four positions lower than last season.

Reading, Birmingham City and Bolton Wanderers are the three sides touted for relegation.

Leeds had led the Championship a fortnight ago, before two straight losses dropped them down to fifth.

Sheffield Wednesday beat Leeds in their last match, and are in 12th place.
