According to The Sun, Bournemouth are willing to sell Benik Afobe in the January transfer window.
Although there seems to be competition for the services of the 24-year-old and the price is quite high, Leeds United should join the race and try their best to sign the striker in January, even if on a loan deal.
The former Arsenal prospect may have failed to do much of note in the Premier League, but the DR Congo international is a proven goalscorer at Championship level.
Afobe scored 22 goals and provided five assists in 43 Championship starts for Wolves, according to WhoScored.
The DR Congo international knows the Championship inside out, and his goalscoring record in the division suggests that he would be a stunning signing for Leeds in the January transfer window.
Signing Afobe would lessen the scoring burden on Pierre-Michel Lasogga and would also provide Leeds with another source for goals - and it could just get the Whites promoted to the Premier League.
