Rodgers made the comments about the 21-year-old midfielder while discussing the importance of young footballers playing with the football.
“Stuart Armstrong here, boys that are quick and can play. So you’ve got the players, it’s about how they are coached and how they are asked to play.”
Morgan is one of the best young players in Scotland and has been in great form for St. Mirren so far this season.
According to a report in The Daily Mail, Celtic and Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers are interested in signing the 21-year-old.
Morgan’s goals and general performance have been key in Jack Ross’s side moving to the top of the Scottish Championship table with 18 points from eight matches, a point clear of second-placed Dundee United.
It seems that Rodgers knows about Morgan, and perhaps Celtic could make a bid for the youngster in the January transfer window or next summer.
The Glasgow giants won the Scottish Premiership title last season and are aiming to do the same during the 2017-18 campaign.
