According to the Daily Mirror, Newcastle United are still interested in signing Liverpool’s Danny Ings and that has to be a major concern for Leeds United.

The Daily Star have stated that Leeds want to sign Ings from Liverpool on loan in the January transfer window - but competition from Newcastle means that they could be blown out of the water.

The Magpies not only have far more financial muscle than Leeds, but Ings may also feel that a move to a Premier League club would provide him with more opportunity.

Rafael Benitez’s side are sitting in ninth place in the top flight standings, and it seems likely that would be Ings’ first choice, if both sides enter the race for the Burnley man.
