Wales fans have slated Ben Davies’ performance on international duty for them, after they failed to qualify for the World Cup.

Plenty of Welsh players received criticism for their displays last night, and Davies was unable to avoid the negative reactions on social media website Twitter.

Tottenham will be hoping that Davies’ under-par display does not affect his confidence, as he has been flying this season.

The former Swansea City man has stepped in for Danny Rose in Tottenham’s first-team, and looked totally assured.

Davies already has two goals to his name, and has given Mauricio Pochettino a big selection dilemma, with Rose edging closer to full fitness.
