Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic are reportedly interested in Lewis Morgan of St. Mirren.

St. Mirren winger Lewis Morgan has been linked with Old Firm rivals Celtic and Rangers. According to a report in The Daily Mail, both the Bhoys and the Gers are interested in the 21-year-old.

The Scotland Under-21 international is one of the best and most promising young players in Scotland. Morgan has been in great form for St. Mirren so far this season.

Morgan’s goals and general performance have been key in Jack Ross’s side moving to the top of the Scottish Championship table with 18 points from eight matches, a point clear of second-placed Dundee United.

The youngster’s style of football and development in recent seasons underline why Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers (reportedly) want him.

There is no doubt that Morgan would enhance the quality of Brendan Rodgers’s side at Celtic Park or at Pedro Caixinha’s team at Ibrox.

Former Albion Rovers and Queen of the South player Des McKeown has spoken highly of Morgan.

“The Buddies winger creates goals, scores goals and puts in a shift every time he’s on the pitch,” McKeown wrote about Morgan in The Scottish Sun.

“That and his direct style will put him on the radar of clubs from north and south of the border.”
