Rogic joined Celtic from Australia club Central Coast Mariners in January 2013 for a transfer fee reported by The Telegraph to be worth £400,000.
The Australia international attacking midfielder has had injury problems during his time at Celtic Park, but there is no doubt that the 24-year-old has been a success for the Bhoys.
McGlinchey played with Rogic at Central Coast Mariners, and the 30-year-old former Celtic midfielder has spoken highly of the ex-Belconnen United man.
“Tom has done really well but I always thought he would be ideal for Celtic once he settled,” McGlinchey told The Scottish Sun about Rogic. “What a player he is. I could see that at the Mariners and he was only young at the time.”
“At Central Coast, he was always getting spoken about as a real star of the future for Australia,” added McGlinchey. “But even I didn’t expect him to make as big an impact as he has.
“He’s a regular now, he’s scoring big goals and has emerged as one of Celtic’s top players. I’m really happy for him as he’s a good guy and it just shows that there is a lot of talent over here.”
Rogic is still quite young, and at the age of 24, the Australian has time on his hand to further improve and develop.
Working under former Liverpool and Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers is only going to help the 24-year-old develop himself.
Celtic won the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup during the 2016-17 campaign.
