Liam Henderson and Gary Mackay-Steven have both taken to Twitter in the wake of Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths' fantastic finish in Scotland's crucial World Cup qualifier against Slovenia.

Gordon Strachan's men went into the contest knowing that their fate was in their own hands after their win over Slovakia earlier in the week which took them second in the group and in the driving seat to secure a play-off spot for next summer's World Cup.

Henderson - who has struggled for game-time with the Hoops this term - praised his club teammate's finish, while Gary Mackay-Steven, who left for Aberdeen in the summer, also expressed his delight for the forward, who continues to enjoy a wonderful season.
