Nottingham Forest fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Daryl Murphy for the Republic of Ireland on Friday evening.
The 34-year-old striker scored both goals in the Republic of Ireland’s 2-0 victory over Moldova in the 2018 World Cup Group D qualifier (European) on Friday evening.
The former Ipswich Town and Newcastle United man found the net first in the second minute and then on 19 minutes.
The win against Moldova means that Martin O’Neill’s side are now third in Group D with 16 points from nine matches, just two points behind leaders Serbia.
Forest fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Murphy for the Republic of Ireland on Friday evening.
The supporters of the Reds are delighted with the performance of the ex-Sunderland striker and have sent a warning to Derby County.
Mark Warburton’s side will take on Derby away from home at the Pride Park Stadium in the Championship next weekend.
Murphy joined Championship club Forest from Premier League side Newcastle in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Nottingham Forest to be worth £2 million.
