Swansea City are going through a crisis at the moment. Paul Clement’s side have not won their last four Premier League games, and suffered back to back defeats against Watford and West Ham.

The Swans have gone through a major rebuilding phase this summer. They lost two key players in Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente but signed Renato Sanches and Wilfried Bony as replacements.

Popular football pundit Tony Cascarino isn’t impressed with Bony’s performance this season so far. Against West Ham United, Bony had only 13 touches during the match, and Cascarino is worried that the player might not ever get back to his best again.

He said that Bony seems far from his old form, and that he looked lazy and uninterested. He didn’t have a single touch inside the box, and was taken off at half-time.

Cascarino added that Bony got his move back to Swansea due to his past success with the club. His stint with Manchester City was a disaster, and it may have stalled his career irreparably.

“Tammy Abraham is only 20 and on Saturday when he partnered Wilfried Bony for Swansea against West Ham, he looked like he could have been playing alongside his dad,” wrote Cascarino in his column for The Times.

“Bony looks so far away from his old form I’m not sure how long it will take him to get it back — if he ever will. He was so lazy and looked uninterested — he only had 13 touches, right, none inside the box, and was taken off at half-time.”
