Bank of America named former CFO Bruce Thompson as the new leader of its European global banking and markets operations to be based in Dublin, according to a company memo from Chief Operating Officer Tom Montag.
Reuters reports that Thompson, a vice chairman at Bank of America, will continue to report to Montag, and will be moving to Dublin in the coming months, according to the memo, the contents of which were confirmed by a spokeswoman.
In the meantime, the news agency also reports that HSBC said it appointed Philip Kunz as head of global private banking for South East Asia.
Kunz previously led HSBC’s South Asia team before leaving in 2010 to join UBS to take up a similar position.
Finally, the news agency reports that Raymond James Financial Inc promoted Jim Bunn to co-president of global equities and investment banking, effective October 1.
