Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama is battling hard to get back to full fitness after a spell on the sidelines.

Wanyama has played just 98 minutes of Premier League football this season, last playing in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea back in August.

The Kenyan has posted a picture onto his Instagram page of him busy in the gym at Hotspur Way, suggesting he may be closing on a return.

Wanyama has been battling a knee injury and a return against Huddersfield Town this weekend could come too soon.

PremierInjuries.com projects his comeback date as after the international break, for the October 14 fixture against Bournemouth.

Goal reported earlier this week that Wanyama has completed his treatment and is now stepping up his rehab.

Tottenham have not missed a beat without him, but having him back will regardless be a big boost and another welcome option for head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
