Lewie Coyle has featured in just eight League One games for Fleetwood Town since arriving on loan from Leeds United in the summer but he’s won the fans’ Man of the Match award in half of those.
In fact, he is the first ever player to win the club’s matchday Man of the Match poll four times in a row. Despite Uwe Rosler’s side suffering a shock 4-2 home defeat to Southend United on Saturday, Coyle still managed to stand out in a back four that struggled to deal with Phil Brown’s side.

It’s fair to say, then, that the 21-year-old right-back is a popular figure among Fleetwood supporters at the moment. But the Leeds fans who have been monitoring his progress have also been hugely impressed by a superb run of form that raises hopes that Coyle can force his way into The Whites’ first-team next season.
Coyle has featured just 15 times in the Championship for Leeds, including four times last season as manager Garry Monk seemed unimpressed. However, the fact that the Kingston upon Hull-born youngster was handed a new three-year deal in the summer suggests that he has a big future at Elland Road and he is certainly doing his reputation no harm in the league below.

Yeah, both doing well at their current levels and Coyle absolutely exceeding. All should stay out on loan though.— Mark Thompson (@SkyNewsThompson) September 20, 2017
