Joey Barton praises Celtic defender Kieran Tierney

Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers were beaten 2-0 by Celtic in their most recent match, with Kieran Tierney impressing.

Joey Barton has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 25th September, that he believes Celtic defender Kieran Tierney could become ‘one hell of a player’.

Barton was impressed with Tierney during his brief time as a Rangers player, and the former Newcastle and Burnley midfielder has continued to be a big fan of the young Bhoys star.

Tierney was impressive form again, as Celtic beat Rangers 2-0 at Ibrox in their most recent match.

And Barton said: “I tell you who I was impressed with again, and I was impressed when we played you, Tierney. I think he looks one hell of a player.”

Tierney has won many admirers since breaking through at Celtic last season, with the youngster coping with every challenge thrown at him.

The full-back appears to have the potential to become a Celtic great, if he sticks with the Bhoys for the years ahead.
