Moussa Sissoko's 2016/17 season at Tottenham Hotspur was far from a success, with the midfielder making just eight Premier League appearances.

This season Mauricio Pochettino has given him more trust, and is finding a use for the Frenchman on a consistent basis.

He has played in all seven of Tottenham's matches in all competitions this season, starting four.

Sissoko played all 90 minutes against Barnsley in midweek, and posted on Instagram yesterday to declare his focus already on this weekend's fixture against West Ham.

Good win last night!! Focus on Saturday game #coys

Opinion among Tottenham fans is beginning to turn for Sissoko, with that evident by the encouraging responses to his message.

Here is a look at how supporters responded to Sissoko's post...

  • winksy.29 Keep working hard, you've improved alot recently
  • eashxnguy Keep it up Moussa! Showing very good potential COYS
  • jerrymiah_ Doing well bro show them plastic fans whats up
  • leon_djlp Keep working hard like you have been so far this season, and the real fans will be behind you all the way @moussasissokoofficiel .... The others aren't proper fans anyway! COYS
  • latterz I dont know why you have so many critics but would love to see you show that same level you did for france in euros. Couple goals few more assists make all these critics eat there words #coys #headup
  • t_scops Keep it up Moussa #COYS

Sissoko could not really have asked for a better start to the season after a difficult debut campaign at Spurs, and as long he is playing regularly, he will remain in contention for a place in France's World Cup squad.

Tottenham have a multitude of midfield options but in this long season with Spurs competing in four competitions, Sissoko can be a very useful squad player if he can make the most of the opportunities he gets.
