Leeds players celebrate after beating Burnley on penalties during the Carabao Cup Third Round
Leeds fans have been lauding several players on Twitter after the Whites' stunning and dramatic League Cup victory over Burnley at Turf Moor, but perhaps the player who has received the most praise is summer signing Mateusz Klich.
Thomas Christiansen's men may be top of the Championship currently, but they undoubtedly went into their clash with the Clarets as the underdogs, with Leeds making a host of changes and Sean Dyche's side doing well in the Premier League.
But Leeds proved to be a match for their top flight opposition, taking a second-half lead through Hadi Sacko and going back in front from a Pablo Hernandez penalty after former Leeds striker Chris Wood had initially equalised from the spot.
Robbie Brady would score a sensational free-kick in stoppage-time to take the game into extra-time. But with no goals scored in the additional half-hour, a penalty shootout was required, and it was Leeds who edged the shootout 5-3.
Klich was one of the men who converted his kick, and his attempt was as cool as his performance during the course of the game, and that contribution certainly did not go unnoticed by the supporters.
The Poland international has barely featured this season, so his ability to play 120 minutes as if he had been enjoying a fantastic run of form in the weeks previously was incredibly impressive.
Here is the best of the reaction...

Klich was a monster tonight, that's him at full fitness. Ayling was just Ayling, Sacko a revelation and Cibicki with some nice touches #lufc— J (@EllandReports) 19 September 2017

Big respect to Klich, barely had a sniff, plays 120 minutes, barely put a foot wrong, looked a bit leggy at the end but that pen! #lufc— Cuffers (@JohnCuffling) 19 September 2017
