Should Everton consider making January move for Cenk Tosun?

Everton have struggled to find the back of the net over the early part of the season.

According to the Daily Mail, Cenk Tosun is available for under £20 million – and that could make him an attractive proposition for Everton.

Ronald Koeman side’s need for a striker has already been highlighted this season, following the departure of Romelu Lukaku.

Wayne Rooney is the only Everton player to have scored in the Premier League this term, with the Toffees often looking toothless going forward.

Everton appear to have no natural goalscorer in their ranks, but Tosun could fill that void.

The Turkish striker netted 27 goals last season, and he has picked up where he left off this time around.

Tosun has found the back of the net three times in his first five appearances, and could offer Everton the qualities they need.

Tosun is a clinical finisher, who comes alive in the penalty area, and that could be the final piece of the jigsaw for Koeman’s side.

Besiktas are said to be looking for £17.5 million for Tosun and, in the current market, that is a relatively cheap price for one of the leading scorers across Europe in the last two seasons.

And if Everton are seriously looking at ending their scoring problems, then they should already be considering making a quick swoop for Tosun in the January transfer window.
