Everton and Arsenal have been linked with Federico Martinez, who plays for Uruguayan club Liverpool.

Everton are interested in signing Federico Martinez from Uruguayan club Liverpool, according to The Sun.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Premier League outfit Everton have stepped up their interest in the 21-year-old winger.

Spanish side Atletico Madrid and North London outfit Arsenal have also been credited with interest in the youngster.

According to The Sun, Martinez has been compared with Argentina international winger Angel Di Maria in South America.

Former Manchester United winger Di Maria is one of the best players in the world, and having been hugely successful during his time at Real Madrid, the 29-year-old, who can also operate as an attacking midfielder, is now on the books of French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

Martinez is a very talented and promising young winger, who could be a good signing for Everton in the long run.

The Toffees have made a disappointing start to the 2017-18 Premier League campaign. Ronald Koeman’s side will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
