Birmingham City have sacked Harry Redknapp as their manager after a run of disappointing results.
The Blues have suffered six defeats in a row in all competitions and are struggling in the Championship at the moment.
After eight rounds of matches in the Championship this season, Birmingham find themselves second from bottom in the league table with just four points.
Redknapp was appointed the Birmingham boss last season with just three matches left in the 2016-17 Championship campaign.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Queens Park Rangers boss managed to keep Birmingham in the second tier of English football.
Much was expected of Birmingham this season, but the Blues have not got the results and their performances have been disappointing as well.
Birmingham decided to part company with Redknapp on Saturday evening following the 3-1 defeat to Preston North End at St. Andrew’s in the Championship.
Meanwhile, Birmingham’s bitter rivals, Aston Villa, got the better of Barnsley 3-0 away from home in the Championship on Saturday evening.
Villa fans have also taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the dismissal of Redknapp. Below are some of the best comments:
