The Tottenham Hotspur boss is "so happy" with his defender.
The 24-year-old has been deputising for Danny Rose in defence for the whole of 2017, and despite initial skepticism from dispproving fans, looks to be a key figure for Spurs now.
The Wales international is in his fourth season with Tottenham now, having being Pochettino's first signing in North London after taking the reins in 2014, and the Argentine is thrilled with Davies's on and off-the-field conduct.
"I think Ben from day one because he arrive the same time as us, we are so happy," he told Football London.
"He is still so young but his mentality, his maturity – he is so professional – he is helping the team every season.
"For me he is a good example at Tottenham like a man and a professional and then if he plays well, fantastic."
Davies wasn't a hugely popular figure among Tottenham fans last season, with the majority of them preferring Rose, but he will have certainly won over some of his detractors since then.
Is he the perfect left-back? Probably not, and he may never be as exciting as Rose going forward, but he is a clever, shrewd defender and Spurs supporters, like Pochettino, should appreciate his professionalism.
