Any Tottenham Hotspur press conference without a question about Harry Kane is unthinkable.

The 24-year-old opened his Premier League account for this season when he scored twice against Everton, and scored twice against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League as well.

He is playing at a high level at the moment, and getting rich plaudits from the football pundits and opposition managers.

Needless to say, he is highly respected by his team-mates, and his manager has nothing but praises for his talents.

Pochettino has said that Kane is “a great example to us everyone”, and that his motivation is always high.

"I think he's so focused," said Pochettino, as quoted by Football London. "First of all he's a great example to us everyone, he's always trying to improve himself. His whole motivation is so high. I think we need players with that motivation. If you, like Harry Kane, show that motivation all can happen and all is possible in football."

When asked whether Kane can be treated as world class even if he doesn’t win titles, Pochettino replied that the England striker doesn’t need titles to show that he is one of the best strikers in the world at the moment.

"For me there's no doubt Harry Kane is one of the best strikers. In my opinion he does not need titles to show that he's one of the best strikers. It's true that players try to score to win and show good performance and in the end win titles, of course that's the aim for everyone. But for me so far Harry Kane is showing he's one of the best strikers in the world."

Kane has scored 80 Premier League goals in 117 appearances so far, and many believe that if he continues to play at this level, he can even break Alan Shearer’s record.

Pochettino says Kane has the mentality to win, and he is more than happy to stay at Spurs.

"I don’t know that, Alan Shearer was fantastic, great, one of the best strikers. Harry has all in his hands to try to do everything that he wants. But he knows well it is step by step and about trying to build his way. I think he is doing fantastic, Harry Kane. If you see the stats he has a fantastic record.

"With Harry’s mentality, all can happen. His mentality is to stay here. He is so happy not only in the Premier League, he more than happy to stay at Tottenham. He shows every single day how he loves the club, how he loves Tottenham. Only it is time to wait and enjoy him."
