Speaking to a press conference via LUTV, Leeds United winger Egzjan Alioski has joked that team-mate Samu Saiz needs English lessons.

The Spanish attacker, a £3 million signing from Huesca in the summer, has been an instant hit at Elland Road, netting six goals in six starts for the Whites in all competitions.

Likewise, Alioski, who joined in a £3.2 million deal from Lugano in July, has also been a success at Leeds so far and the duo look to be reading off the same hymn sheet in regards to on-the-pitch matters.

Off the pitch it's a different story, however, as the 25-year-old Macedonia international reveals that it is difficult to communicate with his Spanish counterpart.

And Alioski has joked that his team-mate needs to get English lessons.

Asked on LUTV if Saiz's English is getting better, Alioski smiled and said: "My English is not so good [either]. I want to speak with a British accent, but it's not easy.

"He [Saiz] speaks only Spanish and doesn't understand good English, and I don't speak Spanish. I can't communicate very well with him because it's not easy.

"I think Samu must go to [English] school. It's better for him."

Alioski won't be winning any awards for his English either, though he did win Goal of the Month for his strike in the 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest before the international break.

Leeds, who sit top of the Championship, visit Millwall tomorrow as Thomas Christiansen's side bid to protect their nine-game unbeaten run under the 44-year-old head coach.
