Tottenham take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League this evening.

Tottenham Hotspur starting line-up: Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Vertonghen, Davies; Dier, Dembele; Eriksen, Son, Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur substitutes: Vorm, Foyth, Trippier, Walker-Peters, Winks, Sissoko, Llorente.

Tottenham Hotspur kick off their Champions League campaign this evening as they host German outfit Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium.

Spurs beat Everton 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, and whilst that is a huge boost for Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham have faced issues at Wembley.

Home defeats to Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen dumped Spurs out of the Champions League last season, whilst they could only claim a point from two games against Chelsea and Burnley at Wembley last month.

Pochettino will be hoping for better this evening, and whilst he has kept largely the same defence from the win over Everton, there is a start for Serge Aurier.

Hugo Lloris starts in goal, whilst Aurier will feature at right wing back with Ben Davies over on the left, and a trio of Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen in the heart of defence.

Eric Dier and Moussa Dembele will sit in midfield, freeing up Christian Eriksen and Son Heung-min – who has come in for the suspended Dele Alli – to support Harry Kane.

Michel Vorm is on the bench as cover for Lloris in goal, with two right backs also named as susbtitutes in Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker-Peters.

Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko are also named on the bench, alongside summer signings Juan Foyth and Fernando Llorente, who will be looking to make their debuts this evening.
