People News - Goldman, Wells Fargo

Goldman Sachs Group head of human resources, Edith Cooper, is retiring from the bank at the end of the year, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters.

The news agency reports that under Cooper, Goldman has significantly changed the way it recruits and attracts talent since the financial crisis.

In the meantime, Reuters reports that Wells Fargo on Monday appointed company veteran John Campbell to lead its investor relations group, effective September 15.

Campbell, who will succeed Jim Rowe, has been with the bank for more than 20 years, most recently as a manager in the investor relations group.
