Sheffield Wednesday’s under-23 side recorded their first win in three games yesterday with Bulgarian talent Preslav Borukov scoring the winner.

Borukov netted in the 1-0 away win over Crystal Palace, underlining his promise.

The striker is just 17 but already described by the club website as a ‘real physical presence’, and appears comfortable playing with the under-23s.

Borukov commented after the game on his Instagram page.

The match was the fifth game of the season for Sheffield Wednesday in the Professional Development League, and their third win.

They won the first two before drawing and losing the subsequent games. This win takes them into fourth in the table with 10 points.

Borukov is a Bulgaria under-18 international, and has also represented his country at under-17 and under-16 level.
