New signing Oliver Sarkic has tweeted for the first time since becoming a Leeds United player.
The Montenegrin forward has signed on loan from Benfica, until 31 December 2017.
However, as Sarkic’s capture came after the close of the summer transfer window, he is only eligible to play in non first-team fixtures until then, and will immediately join Carlos Corberan’s Under-23 side according to Leeds’ official website.
Nevertheless, it would appear 20-year-old is looking forward to his stay in West Yorkshire.
He tweeted on Friday:
Despite his international allegiance, Sarkic was actually born less than 80 miles away from Leeds in the Lincolnshire town of Grimsby.
He later went on to spend some of his youth with the Anderlecht academy in Belgium, before Benfica coaxed him to Portugal three years ago.

A move to Leeds brings Sarkic closer to his twin brother, Matija, who is currently on loan across the Pennines at Wigan Athletic from the Whites’ Championship rivals Aston Villa.
The new recruit usually operates as either a centre-forward or secondary striker.
