Tottenham fans continue to wish the winger well in his ongoing injury recovery.
The good news is Lamela is on the training field at Hotspur Way, even though he is not ready to mix it with his teammates.
Lamela last played for Spurs 11 months ago and has undergone a hip operation.
Head coach Mauricio Pochettino told reporters at his press conference [via Talksport] that Lamela may just be a month away from stepping up.
He said: "We are happy with Erik's rehab. We expect in early October he will join the team and start the possibility to train with the team
"Then we can decide and assess every day when it is possible for him to be available. But I think we are happy. We try to translate to our fans that Erik is in a very good mood. He is happy, he is doing all the things to try to be fit as soon as possible."
Lamela conveyed that happiness by posting a picture to his Twitter feed of him in his Spurs training kit.
Tottenham fans may be a little exasperated at Lamela's lengthy lay off, but what is clear is that they wish him the best and just want him back so he can fulfil his potential.
Lamela scored 11 goals in all competitions in his last full season and was becoming a very valuable part of Mauricio Pochettino's side.
Here is a look at how Tottenham fans responded on Twitter to the Argentine's simple message...
