Tottenham new boy impressed with his speed and power against Brazil.

Tottenham Hotspur new boy Davinson Sanchez was in action last night in a key World Cup qualifier for Colombia.

He helped his nation record a 1-1 draw against a star studded Brazil side boasting the world's most expensive footballer, Neymar.

Chelsea attacker Willian opened the scoring from long range before Monaco forward Radamel Falcao levelled the scores.

Sanchez was playing as part of a back three for Colombia, a role he hopes to be utilised in for Tottenham.

He created a stir on social media in the first half when he chased down Dani Alves, who had a headstart on him, catching him up and barging him off the ball.

It was a display of jaw dropping speed and brute strength which shows he has all the tools to adapt to Premier League football and be a big success.

Sanchez played just one season at Ajax before Spurs splashed out a record fee to bring him in a fortnight ago.

He is still waiting to make his first start for the club, and his display last night helps keep his match fitness and sharpness up.

The draw ensures Colombia remain in second in the Conmebol qualifying section, behind Brazil who are 11 points clear.
