Timo Werner prompted speculation about a move to Liverpool back in March when he claimed it would be "something special" to play at Anfield.
The 21-year-old striker, who scored 21 goals in 28 starts for Leipzig last season, was linked with Everton toward the end of the transfer window - but some Liverpool fans would love to see him realise his apparent dream of playing for the Reds.
The Germany international was on target for his country on international duty last night by scoring in a 2-1 World Cup qualifying win away to Czech Republic.
And the youngster impressed some Liverpool fans on Twitter.

Werner is gonna be class for Germany— Nikhil (@LfcNik) September 1, 2017
I really really rate Werner, but as Leipzig have shown with Liverpool's chase of Nabi Keita, they are no pushovers.— Joe Theuma (@JTGozo) August 30, 2017
As it were, Werner, who has two goals in as many Bundesliga games this season, stayed with the German outfit this summer but if he has another stellar season then there is every chance that the likes of Liverpool will come knocking next season.
Jurgen Klopp's side have had an excellent summer on the transfer front, sealing a £40 million deal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on deadline day to punctuate a decent summer of business.
But they did not sign an out-and-out goalscorer so perhaps that might be on Klopp's agenda next year.
