According to Sky Sports' live transfer blog, Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater is at Chelsea's Cobham training ground as he awaits permission to undergo a medical with the Blues. Drinkwater was a key part of Leicester's title-winning side in 2016, and could now reunite with his former midfield partner N'Golo Kante.
Tottenham allow youngster to leave permanently
Tottenham have been focusing on bringing in new additions today, but there is also a departure this evening, as they have confirmed on Twitter that Will Miller has completed a permanent move to Burton Albion. The 21-year-old spent last season on loan with the Brewers, and has tonight joined Nigel Clough's side on a full-time basis.
Brighton bid for La Liga forward fails
According to the Daily Mail's live transfer blog (21:37), Brighton and Hove Albion's latest bid for Deportivo La Coruna striker Florin Andone - believed to be worth £18million - has been rejected. The 24-year-old Romanian international hit 12 goals last season, and despite landing Lucas Perez from Arsenal earlier today, Deportivo are standing firm on Andone.
Everton loan Connolly to Ipswich
Everton have endured a frustrating day in the transfer market, and despite having little defensive cover behind Leighton Baines, they have decided to loan Callum Connolly to Championship side Ipswich Town. The youngster joins the Tractor Boys on loan until the end of the season as he pursues regular first-team football.
Joel Campbell leaves Arsenal on loan again, re-joins Real Betis
After loan spells with Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos, Villarreal and Sporting CP, Joel Campbell is on the move again after Arsenal allowed him to re-join Betis on loan. The Gunners confirmed his loan move on Twitter just minutes ago, with the 25-year-old keen for playing time having made just 40 appearances for Arsenal since joining from Saprissa in 2011.
Khazri heads back to France
French side Stade Rennais have taken to Twitter this evening in order to confirm that they have snapped up Sunderland playmaker Wahbi Khazri on a season-long loan deal. The Tunisian international joined Sunderland from Bordeaux in January 2016 and initially made a big impact under Sam Allardyce, but moves back to France having failed to convince David Moyes or Simon Grayson.
Wilson arrives to join Sunderland
Whilst Khazri has left Sunderland, the Black Cats are on the verge of a new signing too, with Sky Sports' live transfer blog (21:54) reporting that Bournemouth defender Marc Wilson's move to the Stadium of Light is done. The Republic of Ireland international joined the Cherries from Stoke City last summer but failed to break into Eddie Howe's team, and is now heading to Wearside to continue his career.
Gardner leaves Villa on loan
Having been pushed down the pecking order by the signings of Glenn Whelan and Josh Onomah this summer, many expected Gary Gardner to leave Aston Villa - and his move away has gone through tonight. Barnsley took to Twitter tonight to confirm that Gardner has joined the club on a season-long loan deal, handing the Villa youth product first-team football in the process.
