Two days after being part of an appalling Arsenal team which lost 4-0 to Liverpool at Anfield, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to move to arch rivals Chelsea for a fee reported by BBC Sport as £40 million.
The England international only had a year left on his contract with Arsenal, and will undoubtedly add depth to the already intimidating Chelsea squad as they look to challenge in the Premier League and the Champions League.

One club apart from Chelsea who might benefit from Alex's impending move is Newcastle. The Magpies were closely linked with a move for Chelsea youngster Kenedy earlier in the window by the Daily Mail.
The 21-year-old has featured on the bench for Chelsea on each of the three opening Premier League games of the season, with Chelsea manager Antonio Conte viewing the Brazilian as a backup to Marcos Alonso.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has played as a left wing-back and a right wingback for Arsenal, will comfortably go above Kenedy in the pecking order for Chelsea, which should allow Newcastle to secure a deal for their target before the end of the transfer window.
Kenedy is predominantly a winger but has occasionally played as a left-back, where Newcastle are short. However, he will surely be expected to provide competition to the likes of Christian Atsu and Matt Ritchie on the wings.
