Serbian winger Lazar Markovic is surplus to requirement at Liverpool, and he could be set for his fourth loan move in three seasons before Thursday’s deadline.
Since joining the Reds in 2014/15 from Benfica, Markovic has made just 34 appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
After that he spent loan spells with Fenerbahce, Sporting CP and Hull City. He showed a lot of promise under Marco Silva, who now wants to bring him to Watford within this week.
According to reports from The Telegraph, Markovic is most likely to rejoin Silva this summer, with the Premier League outfit considering a loan move.
Liverpool prefer to sell him permanently so it would be interesting to see how things shape up until deadline day.
Jurgen Klopp admitted towards the end of July that Markovic is not in his first team plans. His contract runs till 2019, but without any concrete offer on the table, Liverpool may have to sanction another loan move for the winger.
