According to reports from the Daily Star, Newcastle United have set their sights on Iceland striker, Vidar Orn Kjartansson, who would cost around £8 million.

He was top scorer in Isreal last season with 19 league goals in 33 games, and his goal scoring exploits have attracted interest from the Magpies.

Kjartansson made his international debut in 2014, and till date has 14 caps under his belt. Given that he has always played in lower leagues, his signing could be a huge gamble.
