Leeds fans are very open to the club signing Newcastle United’s Dwight Gayle.

Leeds United fans are hopeful the club will make a late bid for Newcastle’s Dwight Gayle after The Mail reported the striker could be sold before the transfer deadline.
Gayle has fallen down the pecking order at Newcastle early this season and Newcastle need funds to secure other signings.
Last season Gayle played a crucial role in Newcastle winning promotion, scoring 23 goals, all from open play.

This was less than former Leeds striker Chris Wood, but five of his 27 goals came from penalties.
Gayle is proven in the Championship and could be a perfect fit for a team boasting real attacking talent already like Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski, who are perhaps only lacking a little experience up front.
Newcastle may not have used Gayle early on this season but they may come to regret letting Gayle leave so early if they do.

There will be no shortage of Championship teams ready to buy the striker if he is indeed made available, and it would make sense if Leeds are one of them.
The Whites sit third in the league already after a strong start, and Gayle could be attracted by a move to Elland Road.
Leeds fans would welcome him with open arms and are already calling on the club to sign him…
