Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kieran Trippier has told the club's website that the team are determined to improve after their disappointing start to the season.

Spurs could only draw at home to Burnley at the weekend, making it just four points out of a possible nine.

They were undone by a late goal from Chris Wood, for which right-back Trippier was partly culpable after failing to track the striker's run.

Speaking after the game, Trippier admitted his frustration, commenting: "It's one of those games. We were 1-0 up and they scored at the end which is very, very tough to take.

"We were in control from the start and we created a lot of chances which we just didn't put away.

"You just need to keep working and working on the training field and the performances and the results will come.”
