Leeds United have been linked with a move for Middlesbrough striker Rudy Gestede in the summer transfer window.
According to a report in The Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds are interested in signing Gestede from Championship rivals Middlesbrough this summer.
The need for a striker at Leeds has risen following the departure of Chris Wood to Premier League club Burnley for a transfer fee reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post to be worth £15m.
The New Zealand international striker was one of the best players for the Whites last season and scored as many as 27 goals in the Championship, as the West Yorkshire outfit narrowly failed to make the playoffs.
“We will talk about the signings next week,” Christiansen told Sky Sports when asked about signing a striker following Leeds's 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Saturday evening.
“I don’t know,” said Christiansen when asked about a second bid for Gestede. “We have to talk after the game with Victor, with the chairman and we will see.”
