Liverpool have been strongly linked with signing Arsenal attacker.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was reported by The Telegraph earlier this summer to have been weighing up quitting Arsenal for Liverpool.

Sunday may have convinced him as Liverpool thrashed the Gunners 4-0.

The versatile England international featured for Arsenal and was powerless to stop his side getting hammered.

Liverpool have a four point lead over Arsenal already after three Premier League matches, but looked light years ahead of their competitors.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has only one year left on his Arsenal deal, and the club at present appear to be listless under Arsene Wenger.

The lack of direction will do little to inspire Oxlade-Chamberlain that he should stick around, but did he do enough to convince Liverpool he should join their star-studded team?

Oxlade-Chamberlain played 62 minutes of the defeat at wing-back, but was unable to contribute in a positive attacking manner.

He failed to make a tackle and his substition came as little surprise. It was hardly the best impression to make on potential suitors.
