After dropping five points in their opening three games of the new season, Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha was under pressure ahead of the match.

Morelos broke the deadlock in the 31st minute and added another before half time. County recovered after the break as they pulled one back through Thomas Mikkelsen.

Rangers were totally dominant in the match and had 56% of ball possession, managing 14 shots in the game, according to BBC Sport.

Popular football pundit Chris Sutton took to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction following Rangers’ win.

Caixinha said at the beginning of this season, after a summer overhaul which saw 10 new arrivals at Ibrox, that Rangers had the best squad of players in the country.

When Sutton, former Celtic player, asked him which Celtic player would not get in the current Rangers side, Caixinha replied that he doesn’t care about the Hoops.

"I am not comparing my squad with any other squad," said Caixinha, as quoted by the Daily Record

"When I have one squad, even if I am manager of Ross County, I will say I have the best squad and the best players because I believe and I trust myself and I work with them.

"I believe. I don't care about Celtic. I care about Rangers. I'm Rangers manager not Celtic manager."
