According to HITC Sport sources,  Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Dave Edwards is poised to join Championship rivals Reading.

The report claims that the two clubs are in advanced talks over a £1million deal for the Wales international, and the transfer is likely to be completed before the deadline day.

Wolves have undergone a massive rebuilding change under new manager Nuno Santo, with the Portuguese manager bringing in as many as 11 news players. Edwards has dropped down the pecking order under Santo, and will be allowed to leave the club. 

The 31-year-old, who joined Wolves in 2008, has been a popular figure among the fans for his dedication and loyalty. He has a contract at the club till 2019 but Santo doesn't see him as playing a key role this season.

Reading have already signed one Wolves player this summer - striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson in a deal believed to be worth £3 million, as reported by Express and Star

Despite adding so many new players, Wolves are still expected to remain busy in the transfer market. They are to sign a striker, a left-back and a central midfielder before the window closes.
