Tottenham Hotspur are said to have agreed to meet the Italian side’s £27.6 million asking price.
Lazio forward Keita Balde
Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport reported earlier this week that Spurs had agreed to meet the Rome side’s £27.6 million asking price. But this is not the case according to The Times.
The report states: “Spurs have cooled their interest in Keita Baldé, the Lazio striker. The Italian club want around £27.6 million for the player despite him entering the final year of his contract and boycotting training sessions because he wants to force through a switch to Juventus.”
Keita scored 16 goals in 31 Serie A appearances last season, and could help to relieve the burden on Tottenham talisman Harry Kane.

Spurs bought Vincent Jansson to do exactly that a year ago, but the Dutchman has found the net just six times in 39 outings and is strongly linked with a move to West Bromwich Albion.
The north London side still have Heung-min Son to call upon, after the South Korea star scored 21 goals last term – although a replacement for Janssen may be required with four competitions to think about this season.

Keita, who can play anywhere across the front line, spent seven years on Barcelona’s books before switching to Lazio, and has 12 caps for Senegal.
