Newcastle United boss Rafa Benitez is determined to sign Inter Milan striker Stevan Jovetic, reports Tuttomercatoweb.

And it is claimed that despite the player's initial apprehension, the Spaniard will make a fresh approach for his signature this week.

Benitez has recently admitted the Magpies' remaining transfer business is dependent on outgoings, and there could be room for manoeuvre soon.

According to The Daily Mail, out of favour striker Emmanuel Riviere is in talks over a move to Nice.

And the Frenchman's exit could fall hot on the heels of that of Siem de Jong, who is reportedly set for a return to Ajax.

Transfer-listed left-back Achraf Lazaar could also be on the move, with Spanish side Real Betis the latest to be credited with interest, courtesy of The Chronicle.
