Newcastle United lost 1-0 away at Huddersfield Town on Sunday afternoon.
Newcastle United made it two defeats from two Premier League games this afternoon with a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Town at the John Smith's Stadium.
The Magpies lost their opening game of the season with a 2-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, and manager Rafael Benitez was hoping for better as he took his side to West Yorkshire.

However, Newcastle failed to really stamp their authority on the game and ultimately lost 1-0, with Huddersfield's midfield maestro Aaron Mooy smashing home a superb winning goal for the hosts.
Newcastle did attempt to rally, but squandered their opportunities as they were resigned to another defeat, leaving Benitez with plenty to think about ahead of the club's next Premier League game, the home clash with West Ham United next weekend.
Benitez did hand a debut to new signing Joselu, with the Spanish striker coming on as a second-half substitute following his move from Stoke City earlier this week, as he was called upon to boost the Magpies' chances of finding an equaliser.
Whilst he did have a couple of openings, Joselu ultimately couldn't find the goal that Newcastle needed, and fans have been taking to Twitter to react to his debut performance at the John Smith's Stadium.

Many fans took to Twitter to suggest that Joselu made a real impact, and ultimately looked like more of a goal threat during his time on the pitch than striker Dwight Gayle, who struggled in attack for the Magpies.
Others called on Benitez to hand Joselu a start against West Ham next weekend, with fans seemingly encouraged by his cameo appearance against Huddersfield, suggesting he could be the best option to lead the line for Newcastle going forward.
Joselu did more in the little time he came on than Gayle did for most of the game. Deserves a start next PL game? #NUFC— NUFC Network (@NUFC_Network) August 20, 2017
If we'd started like we played in the final 20mins then could of been a different story!— Dave84 nufc (@dave6869) August 20, 2017
Joselu should start next game #nufc
#thekickoff Joselu has to start, we actually had a bit of threat when he came on. Thought Merino recovered from a poor first half.— Paul Kearney (@One_True_Czar) August 20, 2017
Joselu showed he wants to shoot, didn't get ideal chances. Pressured defenders better than Gayle and brought others into play.Positive #NUFC— Shaun Turnbull (@TurnbullShaun) August 20, 2017
Merino & Joselu looked good. We will never have a manager like Rafa again, this is our chance. Ashley needs to back him @NUFC— Tom Mason (@TomMason19) August 20, 2017
Like to see more of Murphy and Joselu - big lad looked OK— Dan (@Deej89) August 20, 2017
Joselu looked half decent when he came on, Gayle and Perez looked lost, beginning to think there not good enough to get goals in the prem— Simon Burridge (@Burridge1977) August 20, 2017
I thought Joselu did ok.— Nufc_22 (@Nufc_22) August 20, 2017
Kicking the ball towards the goal is always a bonus in my book!#nufc
Joselu needs to start our next game. Did so much more than Gayle #NUFC— Matt Milne (@21Milner) August 20, 2017
Joselu livened us up a bit. Gayle is clearly not fit at the moment.— NUFC Follower (@NUFCFollower) August 20, 2017
What did you think of Joselu's performance against Huddersfield?
