According to a report from The Sun, Liverpool striker Danny Ings looks set to remain at Anfield beyond this transfer window despite interest from a number of Premier League sides.
Ings has endured a torrid run of luck with injuries during his time on Merseyside, having made just 11 appearances in all competitions in the two years since he arrived from Burnley in 2015.
It appeared that a number of clubs were ready to try and hand the 25-year-old a fresh start, with The Sun reporting that Newcastle, Brighton and Hove Albion and the Clarets were all keeping a keen eye on the forward.
However, The Sun is now suggesting that Ings is currently looking set to stay put beyond this window as he continues his recovery from the injury that he sustained towards the end of 2016 which ended his season.
Given the attacking depth that Jurgen Klopp boasts, it is perhaps a surprise that the Reds are not encouraging Ings to consider seeking a loan move elsewhere as his path to the first-team is surely quite congested.
But perhaps Ings is hoping that if he can prove his fitness to Klopp - who will have only seen the former Bournemouth man play competitive football up close on a couple of occasions - he could perhaps force his way up the pecking order and show that the club's decision to sign him two years ago was not a mistake.
