Particularly poor: Leeds fans react on Twitter to Ezgjan Alioski's performance against Preston

Leeds United drew 0-0 at home with Preston North End on Saturday.

Leeds United endured a frustrating afternoon on Saturday, as they couldn't break down Championship rivals Preston North End in a 0-0 draw at Elland Road.

The Whites opened their league campaign with a 3-2 away win over Bolton Wanderers last weekend, and then beat Port Vale 4-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek, making a strong start to Thomas Christiansen's time as manager.

However, Christiansen couldn't land another victory, as Preston - who had Ben Pearson sent off in the second for two bookable offences - held firm and denied Leeds, with Chris Maxwell making a string of fine saves, including when Chris Wood was clean through on goal.

In fact, Preston almost stole all three points in the dying embers of the game, as Josh Harrop's deflected strike cannoned back off the crossbar, leaving the game goalless.

Christiansen won't be too concerned with the draw as he is still attempting to bed in a host of summer signings, including winger Ezgjan Alioski, who didn't hit his best form against Preston.

The Macedonian wide man, signed from Swiss side Lugano this summer, is one of Leeds' biggest summer arrivals, and Saturday's game was the first chance for many Whites fans to see him in action at Elland Road.

However, his display appears to have divided opinion. Some believe that Alioski has been massively over-hyped and was particularly poor against Preston, failing to offer much of a threat out wide whilst some even claimed he was 'garbage' on Saturday afternoon.

Others are taking a more sensible, long-term look at Alioski by suggesting that he just needs to adjust to English football, with fans also urging Christiansen to play him on the right rather than the left.

What did you think of Alioski's performance against Preston?
